Life Walk Lesson 20 — Inheritance Promised
“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance [salvation], and there shall be holiness; the House of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 32:14-20
God Specifically Blesses, or Curses, right where you are, according to your lifestyle.
Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 28]
Acts 1:4
“And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me;”
2Corinthians 9:10
“Now may He Who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness."
Exodus 9:26
“Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.”
Ezekiel 34:25
“I will make a covenant of peace with them, and cause wild beasts to cease from the land; and they will dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.”
Isaiah 44:3-5
3 “‘For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring;
4 They will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses.’
5 One will say, ‘I am the Lord’s; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; another will write with his hand, ‘The Lord,’ and name himself by the name of Israel.’” [See also: The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares in Matthew 13]
The concept of each person being blessed, and everything in their sphere of influence as well, is not new to us. For it is written, I will bless those that bless you. Even under the Law of Moses this was true, so then, how much more by the indwelling Holy Spirit it is also true for us.
Let’s look at this in the Book of Revelation, where we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, and where He is the very center of the Holy City. [Ephesians 2:6; Revelation 22:1-5]
Revelation 21:16 (NASB)
“The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with a reed: twelve thousand furlongs [1,380 miles]. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.”
May we know this love, according to the Apostle Paul, Whose length, breadth and height is otherwise unfathomable outside of Christ, which surrounds us with jeweled walls, and fills us up to all the fullness of Christ. [Ephesians 2:17-19]
Knowing, then, that our lifestyle can impact such a radius, it is imperative that we live holy lives unto God, so that when He blesses us, it will look like a spiritual flood of blessings surrounding us, blessing everyone within a 1,380 mile radius.
Just imagine when each Christian’s godly influence truly causes a spiritual flood of blessing right where they stand. Satan wouldn’t have a chance to destroy anything anymore in their territory and jurisdiction in the Kingdom of God. It begins with the love of God shed abroad in our hearts, blessing everyone around us with His Glory and Presence. [Romans 5:1-6]
The Blessings Proclaimed to God’s Children
Genesis 12:2-3
Deuteronomy 28:1-14
Psalm 112
Matthew 5:1-12
Genesis 7:1-3
1 “Then the Lord said to Noah, ‘Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time [generation].
2 You shall take with you of every clean animal by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female;
3 also of the birds of the sky, by sevens, male and a female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth.”
Only One Door to God’s Kingdom: Christ Jesus
There was only one door in the ark, and before it rained, God closed that door Himself.
In the writings of 1Enoch, Enoch describes the vision of heaven which he saw, wherein he saw 12 doors, and many windows, much the same as we find in Revelation 21, in John’s vision of heaven. God described to Enoch how He would destroy the earth with a flood, to rid the earth of the defiling evil which had penetrated it because of the sin of both the fallen angels and the humans. In this vision God taught Enoch about the weather systems, the planets, stars and constellations, and their orbits and revolutions, for times, seasons, and the generations to come.
There were 3 doors on each side of this square “device” Enoch saw in his vision. Out of the middle door, of each three, always came good weather, which blessed the earth.
We find similarity in the New Testament, where Jesus Christ was the one in the middle of the two thieves on the cross.
The other doors on either side, of the one which brought blessing, brought with them hardship, inclement, and destructive weather. The hail and the wind storm, and the snow, frost and hoar frost, in their destructive measures, through the two other doors on either side, were stored up for the day punishment, whereas the good weather from the middle door, was a blessing to all, both the wicked and the righteous, for God loves everyone, and does not wish anyone to perish. [Matthew 5:45; John 3:16-17]
Outside of our time and space, in eternity, Jesus is the Door through which all believers come, for here life is eternal.
At the consummation of all things, when all evil will have been taken out of the earth and the heavens, and when a new earth and a new heaven are created, there will once again be only one door, for God Himself will open it to those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
God and the City, the Bride of Christ, will become, as we have known it on earth as “one flesh” — they will be so one Spirit, and there will be no night there, so no need for any other door to stay open day and night. [Revelation 22]
Therefore, to those who ask, it shall be given; to those who seek, they shall find, and to those who knock, it shall be opened. [Matthew 7:7]
And once again we will experience these words God spoke:
Isaiah 45:8
“Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness; let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it.”
Psalm 11:6
“Upon the wicked He will rain coals; fire and brimstone and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.”
Psalm 85:10-13
10 “Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.”
In Psalm 85:11, we see the very plan of God, in that Mary, a child of Adam and Eve, having been made of the dust of the earth, and the Holy Spirit of God in Heaven, bore that which would save all humanity from their sin, and enable us to be called, Children of God, borne not of flesh but of God. [John 1:12-13]
Truly the Promise is for God’s Beloved Children, and their Household, even their Animals
Deuteronomy 33:16-17
16 “And with the choice things of the earth and its fullness, and the favor of Him Who dwelt in the bush. Let it come to the head of Joseph, and to the crown of the head of the one distinguished among his brothers.
17 As the firstborn ox, majesty is his, and his horns are the horns of the wild ox [KJV: unicorn]; with them he will push the peoples, all at once, to the ends of the earth. And those are the ten thousand of Ephraim, and those are the thousands of Manasseh.”
Note: In ancient times the unicorn was prized for its horn, which was said to have healing properties, much like the horns of animals, like the rhinoceros, are used in Chinese medicines, for their healing properties. This of course made the animal extinct, however it was hailed as a highly valuable and majestic animal of the time. You can research it for yourself, however, for this prophecy over Joseph, it was the majestic nature of his reign that was spoken of, as was the unicorn’s. It is by no means related to any modern connotation attached to a unicorn in Modern Western Culture of the 2,000’s A.D.
Luke 13:15
“The Lord answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?”
God is just as concerned about the animals as the humans He created from the same earth. God expects us to care for his creation, for it was His first command to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God included the animals in the ark, to preserve His creation.
Many who love their animals have prayed for them and God has healed them, just as He heals their human loved ones, for He cares for the animals as well, for they are part of our household and sphere of influence, and dominion of rulership.
The greater wisdom lies in the fact that God saw the nations in this respect: the metaphor of the nature of an animal was equated with a people group, or nation, quite often in Scripture. I have dealt with this at length in a previous Life Walk Lesson so I will not go over it again, however suffice it to say, God once again reiterated His desire for all nations to come to the knowledge of the Lord when He showed Peter the sheet full of “unclean” animals — all the nations which the Jews had previously had no communication or association with — were now made “clean” so that all people have a chance to fellowship as one human race.
There are only two ways — unbeliever, and believer.
Be One with Christ, or be cut off the Vine and thrown into the fire.
This abolishes all other class, gender, racial, ethnic, cultural, educational, economic, or any other category, or dividing line in the natural realm.
We either believe our Father, God Almighty, and enter into the Kingdom of God, or the alternative is the lake of fire, along with all the innumerable rebellious ones who followed their father, Satan, the demons for whom hell was created.
In his Epistle of Barnabas, chapter 10, the Apostle Barnabas explains this concept in greater detail.
Luke 14:5
“Then He answered them, saying, ‘Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?”
If we are so concerned about our animals that we would risk breaking the Law of Moses to rescue them on the Sabbath, Jesus says, how much more should we not rescue one another from the evils into which we have on occasion fallen, wherein the devil traps us unawares?

When God Makes Wine
Acts 2:1-21 The Apostle Peter’s Sermon on the Day of Pentecost
Cross reference to Acts 2:13-15 — Jeremiah 23:9
“My heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of the Lord, and of His Holy words.
When Noah made wine, in celebration of the harvest of his first crop after the Flood, it was potent, and therefore because he had too much, it was intoxicating.
Balance in the Kingdom of God is essential to experiencing the blessings of God in their fullness.
God’s first miracle in the New era in Christ was also the making of wine, on the third day of a Wedding Feast — the best wine. You can read about it in John 2:1-10.
Scripture Readings:
John 2:1-10 — Jesus create the wine; this was a miracle of the deliverance of a people from a negative reputation at a wedding feast
John 4:46-54 — the Nobleman’s son is healed in Cana of Galilee; this was a miracle of healing,
Luke 7:11-17 — widow’s son raised from the dead, a miracle of resurrection
Jesus kept the commission to heal the sick, deliver the incapable, and resurrect that which was dead, in His earthly ministry. The commission for us has not changed. Go and do likewise.
