Life Walk Lesson 98 The Messianic Commission

Life Walk Lesson 98: The Messianic Commission

Isaiah 61:1-3

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn,

3 To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Matthew 28:18-20

18 “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.”

Mark 16:15-18

15 “And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Ephesians 6:7-8 [AMPC]

7 “Rendering service readily with goodwill, as to the Lord and not to men,

8 knowing that for whatever good anyone does, he will receive his reward from the Lord, whether slave or free.”

Revelation 2:7

“He who is able to hear, let him listen to and give heed to what the Spirit says to the assemblies [churches]. To him who overcomes [is victorious], I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”

Revelation 22:1-2

1 “Then he showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb

2 through the middle of the broadway of the city; also, on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations.”

Revelation 3:8

“I know your [record of] works and what you are doing. See! I have set before you a door wide open which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but a little power, and yet you have kept My word and guarded My message and have not renounced or denied My name.”

Revelation 21:22-27

22 “I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Omnipotent [Himself] and the Lamb [Himself] are its temple.

23 And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the splendor and radiance (glory) of God illuminate it, and the Lamb is its Lamp.

24 The nations shall walk by its light and the rulers and leaders of the earth shall bring into it their glory.

25 And its gates shall never be closed by day, and there shall be no night there.

26 They shall bring the glory (the splendor and majesty) and the honor of the nations into it.

27 But nothing that defiles or profanes or is unwashed shall ever enter it, nor anyone who commits abominations (unclean, detestable, morally repugnant things) or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

Isaiah 26:1-3 [NASB]

1 “On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: ‘We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security.

2 Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, the one that remains faithful.

3 The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because He trusts in You.’”

Isaiah 60:11

“Your gates will be open continually; they will not be closed day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations, with their kings led in procession.”

Isaiah 62:10

“Go through, go through the gates, clear the way for the people! Build up, build up the highway, remove the stones, lift up a flag over the peoples.”

Isaiah 40:3-5

3 “The voice of one calling out, ‘Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

4 Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the uneven ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley;

5 Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

This is such a beautiful description of when God makes a way out of no way, and makes the journey wide open, easy, and without obstacles — both for God and His children.

God protects our journey with Him. Jesus prays, Keep them away from the evil one. [John 17:15] And yet it goes both ways. Because we love Him, we also make the way smooth for Him to come to those we love, by removing all the obstacles in the path for those who are coming to know Jesus. We place no stumbling blocks before them, no pre-conditions on their salvation. God desires that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of God and be in His Family.
